The Session is the primary governing body of St. Andrew's, comprised of the teaching elder and moderator (the minister), and ruling elders (elected by the congregation). The Session is responsible for all aspects of the life and ministry of our congregation.
Meet your Elders!
Rev. Chuck Moon
In October, 2017, Rev. Chuck Moon was appointed by Grey Bruce Maitland Presbytery to serve as an interim moderator for St. Andrew’s congregation in Owen Sound. His responsibility as an interim moderator will be to provide leadership to the congregation during a transitional period following the departure of Rev. Dana Benson.
His initial focus as an interim moderator will be listening. He desires to listen and learn more about who we are and what we are passionate about (issues/concerns as well as grace/blessing of God we have experienced as a congregation).
He moved from Korea to Canada at the age of 16 & is currently serving as a pastor at both Tolmie Memorial Presbyterian Church (Port Elgin, ON) and Knox Presbyterian Church (Burgoyne) since 2006.
He graduated from Columbia Bible College (B.A. in Christian Counseling, Care-Giving) and from Trinity Western University (B.A. in Leadership) and received his Master of Divinity from the Vancouver School of Theology.
