Quilters
ST. ANDREW'S QUILTERS
This group of enthusiastic and talented quilters has been meeting together since 1993. They meet most Wednesdays in the Chapel from 9:00 a.m. to about 2:30 p.m. They take a break for a time of coffee and fellowship and bring their own lunch. Many of them have been heard to say that Wednesday is their favourite day of the week, and they are disappointed if they miss their quilting day.
From time to time they organize outings to quilt shows or quilt shops and they enjoy a Christmas potluck and a June potluck with the office staff and other church volunteers.
Proceeds from their quilting efforts are often directed to the St. Andrew’s Pantry, OSHaRE or the Busch Scholarship Fund. They feel fortunate to be able to make a substantial contribution to such causes while having so much fun producing beautiful work, sharing and learning together.
New quilters are always welcome. Special skills are not necessary. If you are a novice quilter, we will teach you the needle-rocking technique on a small project of your own choice, and when you feel confident with your skills, you will be welcome to join us at the big quilt. Come for the fellowship as you practice your skills.
If you have a quilt top that you would like to have quilted, feel free to call Janet Price at 376-6581 for details.
